About Me

Chris is the founder of Site 7 Gear and the inventor of the SLYD Frame. Born and raised in New Jersey, Chris is currently pursuing his PhD in Chemical Engineering. Away from the lab, he seeks inspiration and comfort in the great outdoors by hiking, cycling, and backpacking.

Under a relentless pursuit for unparalleled adventure, a robust knowledge in the outdoor equipment space, and a strong draw towards scientific innovation, Chris conceptualized, designed, prototyped, and produced an ultralight backpacking frame system that above all does not compromise critical space within a pack.

Where is Site7?

Site 7’s roots are grounded in an existing campsite that Chris was introduced to during one of his very first backpacking trips. Despite traveling across the country and around the world to backpack, he routinely visits Site 7 at Round Valley Reservoir in NJ. Site 7 sits beneath a green canopy of trees at the base of the Cashetunk ridge and rests only steps away from the calming and clear water of the reservoir.
